Tettnang New Palace

Since 1997, the princely rooms have been open to visitors for tours. The fact that the New Castle Tettnang reflects princely luxury once again today is due to extensive restorations completed in 1997. The facility is managed by the organization "Staatliche Schlösser und Gärten Baden-Württemberg" (State Palaces and Gardens of Baden-Württemberg). Rooms on the second floor and the ground floor of the building are used by the Tettnang District Court, which has its seat there.

In 2012, the New Castle served as a filming location for scenes in the television film "Der Minister," a satire about the plagiarism scandal involving former Defense Minister Karl-Theodor zu Guttenberg. In 2013/2014, the state of Baden-Württemberg completed the first phase of restoration, focusing on the facades and roof of the southeast and southwest wings of the New Castle.
