Ango Manor

Originally surrounded by a moat and gardens, the manor's tracts feature local materials like sandstone and timber framing with brick infill. The main entrance, protected by polygonal towers, leads to the Logis, characterized by a loggia with Romanesque-inspired columns and Renaissance-style medallions depicting figures like Jean Ango and King Francis I. The upper floor displays frescoes from Italian artists. Notably, the manor boasts a stunning 16th-century dovecote with a Byzantine-influenced dome, featuring 1600 nesting holes and intricate banded patterns created using colored bricks.
