Lindau Mang Tower

The Mangturm, also known as the Lindau Mang Tower, is a historic tower that dates back to the 12th century. Originally serving as a lighthouse, it features a distinctive glazed tile spire and stands along the lakeside promenade on the harbor. The tower lost its function as a lighthouse in 1856 with the completion of the new Lindau Lighthouse. Accessible by a drawbridge in the past, the Mangturm is a significant landmark in the former free Imperial City of Lindau.
