Description
The Goldenes Dachl, located in Innsbruck, features a coded message on the banderole, interpreted as a quote from the Gospel of John. The oriel is adorned with sculpted reliefs, coats of arms, and frescoes by Jörg Kölderer, depicting scenes from Maximilian's life. The loggia, commissioned by Emperor Maximilian I in 1493, has a "golden" roof with 2,657 fire-gilded copper tiles. It served as a royal box for imperial events. Today, it houses the International Alpine Convention's Office, a museum (Maximilianum), and the Innsbruck City Archives. Salman Khan and Katrina Kaif filmed at the Goldenes Dachl for the Bollywood movie "Tiger Zinda Hai" in 2017.
