Description

Gayenhofen Castle, originally built in the 13th century, saw a new era with the construction of a replacement by Baron Franz Andreas von Sternbach in 1746/1747. The recent reopening of the terraced garden in June 2023 offers a renewed public space after 20 years of closure. Acquired by the city in 1936 and later passed to the state, the castle now serves as the administrative office for the District Administration of Bludenz since 1963. Known for its Neoclassical design, the castle stands as a unique architectural gem in Austria.
