Description

The Emichsburg, a hunting lodge ruin near Eberbach, Germany, was built in 1828 by Prince Karl von Leiningen. Abandoned after 1840, partially dismantled in 1844, and plundered in 1848, only a tower stump with remnants remains. The site, featuring castle-like fortifications, now has a decaying hunting lodge and shed. In 1833, the last lynx in the Odenwald region was shot near the Emichsburg.
