Description

Schloss Hersberg, located in Immenstaad am Bodensee, Germany, was initially a monastery outpost of the Reichsabtei Ochsenhausen and later a princely estate. Positioned on a vine-covered hill, it now serves as an educational institution for the Pallottine community. The castle, visible from afar, holds historical significance dating back to 1276. Over the years, it changed hands, including ownership by the Benedictines and later the Pallottines. Despite challenges during the National Socialist era and World War II, it survived and continues its educational role today. The architecture, dating back to 1600, features a prominent frontal building with Gothic elements, encapsulated by lush greenery.
