The project "Zum Neuen Schloss" in Steckborn involved a comprehensive assessment and creation of 2D plans in 2020. The client for this undertaking was a private entity, and the architectural work was executed by Hess Project, Urs Hess AG. The entire building was meticulously surveyed using a terrestrial laser scanner, capturing scans in all rooms, with additional scans in door frames for alignment. Reference points were measured using a tachymeter to establish the point cloud's reference framework in the official surveying coordinates. The deliverables included floor plans, cross-sections, and elevations.
