Windegg Castle

Windegg Castle, on Reichenau Island, Baden-Württemberg, was built in the 14th century and later transformed in 1667 to adopt Late Renaissance style. Notable for its Papal Room, hosting Pope Martin V in 1417, the castle has a rich history, passing through various owners. Today, owned by EnBW Energie Baden-Württemberg, it functions as a leisure facility and conference hotel, though visits are not possible. Known colloquially as "'s Bürgle," it's recognized as a cultural monument.
