Description

Poggi Palace, built between 1549 and 1560, was the lavish home of Alessandro and Cardinal Giovanni Poggi. Decorated with Pellegrino Tibaldi's frescoes, it later housed the renowned "Aula Carducci" where poet Giosuè Carducci taught. The 18th century saw the addition of the monumental "Aula Magna" library. The palace, now hosting various university museums, including Museo di Palazzo Poggi, remains a cultural hub with its rich history and collections.
