Description

The Château de Pommard, built in the 18th century, is located in Pommard, Bourgogne-Franche-Comté, a few kilometers south of Beaune on the Route des Grands Crus. Originally constructed by Vivant Micault in 1726, it features a Regency-style castle and vineyard. The property passed through various owners, including Claude Marey and the Laplanche family. In 2014, Silicon Valley entrepreneur Michael Baum acquired the castle, drawn to its significance in wine tourism. The estate, now the largest private vineyard in Burgundy, produces notable wines such as "Château Pommard" and "Clos du Château," along with other Burgundy appellations.
