Ponte Tresa Castle

The municipal coat of arms for Ponte Tresa features a red and white divided shield with blue barrulets, a golden five-arched bridge adorned with a black mule, and three black eels swimming in the waters below. The village is served by the Lugano–Ponte Tresa railway, connecting it to Lugano. Additionally, boat services to Lugano are offered in the summer. About 68.7% of the population (aged 25–64) have completed higher education. The education system includes kindergarten, primary, lower and upper secondary schools, with various vocational options for students preparing for careers or further studies. As of 2009, there were 112 students in Ponte Tresa.
