Description

Located in Württemberg in the Bavarian Alps, this Palace dates from the early 1400s. Its design was inspired by Stuttgart’s Altes Schloss and was both a residence and hunting lodge for the Württemberg dukes and their guests.

Castle area today has gate tower, professors' building, goalkeeper's building, and main castle. Castle is rectangular with pitched roof from around 1400. Later, there's extra part on west with hipped roof, tower-like extension, and big south tower.

Inside, there's Golden Hall, fancy room from Renaissance. Room has wooden panels, flat ceiling, and light from three sides. Divided by columns. Walls and columns are golden, so it's called Golden Hall.
